Partnering with Citizens to Improve Our Parks
You're invited to join the ranks of many dedicated people volunteering in the Des Moines parks...a gift that benefits the entire community. Volunteers supplement Parks and Recreation staff and bring creativity and vitality to our organization while meeting new friends, learning new skills, and even building resumes.

Making a Difference in Des Moines
We are proud to report thanks to the greater Des Moines metro we've had more than 30,000 volunteers over the past 10 years donate more than $5.23 million dollars in service. Each year, thousands of you help grow plants to beautify our city parks and public spaces, distribute hundreds of toys to families in need, record our City's history, survey trail users, build playgrounds, and more! We offer opportunities for all ages, skill levels, and group sizes, and invite you to join us.

GROUP NOTICE: We can make you a password-protected sign-up link customized for your team! To get started, group leaders please confirm with your group the exact amount that can attend and then contact our staff to reserve your spots. To help us organize our events, plan for staff/supplies, and ensure we can fill our community's needs, we will end group sign-up at least two weeks prior to an event.
