Help support students’ (K-8) academic success. Volunteers will help our fall afterschool program students develop math, science, social studies, and literacy skills. Volunteers should be passionate about working with youth, possess good communication skills, be able to practice patience, empathy, and join us in celebrating and supporting learners of all types and abilities. All educational materials will be provided.
Volunteer schedules are flexible. Choose the day(s) of the week that work for you between September 15-December 11. Expect to be on site from 5:45-6:45 p.m.
For consistency, we prefer volunteers choose a day of the week that works best with your schedule so you can visit weekly. Volunteer schedules will ideally be confirmed two weeks prior to volunteering to assist us with scheduling resources.
Prior teaching, tutoring, or homework helper experience preferred. To protect our most vulnerable populations, volunteers must successfully pass a background check, review training videos, and complete a one-hour orientation. Volunteers must be adults.
