The Franklin Community Garden is our largest and oldest community garden in the City of Des Moines. To ensure the garden remains functional and well-maintained, we need gardeners to assist with various volunteer roles.
Please bring your own gloves and water bottle.
Per the garden agreement, all Franklin community gardeners are required to volunteer for at least 2 hours/plot/season. Therefore, you will need to sign up for one volunteer role or shift per plot.
To get "credit" you will need to record your time spent volunteering via the following link: https://bit.ly/CommunityGardenVolunteerHours2026
Thank you!
