FREE Bike Trailer for Cleanups-RESERVE NOW!

Thanks to Keep Iowa Beautiful for donating the first bike trailer in John Karras' name, and to the Friends of Des Moines Parks for donating the additional four bike trailers - perfect for park or trail cleanup projects. They are available to check out and hook up to your bike for a day or a weekend.

Please contact parksvolunteer@dmgov.org to schedule a litter clean up date in conjunction with your trailer rental.

Here’s how it works:

- Free to use and we provide all litter cleanup supplies (trash grabbers, trash bags, etc.)
- Call our office at 515-237-1386 to reserve at least 48 hours before your project date
- Must be 18 years old (or at least 14 years old with parent/guardian supervision)
- Will connect to any bike, and the bike trailer breaks down for easy transportation in a vehicle if needed
- Pickup and return to the Richard A. Clark Municipal Service Center (1551 E. MLK Jr. Parkway) or Gray's Lake Concessions
