2023 Pollinator Palooza

September 23rd, 2023
Franklin Avenue Library & Franklin Community Garden

Celebrate the wonderful world of pollinators and learn how you can support bees and butterflies, with pollinator-themed games, craft stations, and a variety of booths. An on-site garden coach will be available to answer any of your gardening questions.  We hope experiencing the buzz about pollinators, will inspire you to make a difference in your community, one flower at a time.

This event coincides with the community garden’s harvest celebration. Food is a basic human need, and without pollinators, humans would go hungry. Birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, flies, and small animals that pollinate plants are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food. During this celebration, community gardeners will be challenging themselves to see how many pounds of produce can be donated in a day.

In order for this event to run smoothly we rely on volunteers like yourself to assist in setting up, tearing down, greeting guests, managing arts & craft stations, and assisting the event coordinator when needed.

A volunteer background check is required as part of the registration process.
